The Veterinary Digital Otoscope is a special purpose digital video camera combined with a high magnification lens and multiple ultra-bright LEDs.
This innovative device streams high quality live video to a computer or TV, enabling the user to view and record crystal clear images or videos.
The digital Otoscope is one of the best tools we have. We use the digital Otoscope to demonstrate to our clients the success of our therapy on many chronic ear infections. Nothings shows success like a before and after treatment photo.
Digital Thermal Imaging
Did you know that we are 1 of only 5 veterinary practices in Florida that offer Digital Thermal Imaging?
Digital Thermal Imaging can be a crucial and valuable “on the spot” visual tool in helping diagnose inflammation or lack of circulation and its exact location in the animals body.
Digital Thermal Images do not depict temperature but measure the radiant energy from the target tissue. These cameras read and illuminate this energy and are both non-invasive and non-destructive as an aid to patient diagnosis and improved treatment plan.
Therapeutic lasers deliver specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a photochemical reaction and therapeutic effect. Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction and enhanced tissue healing. Laser therapy has been used in Europe since the 1970s and was cleared by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005.
An ultrasound exam is a way of looking inside your pet’s body (liver, kidneys, and intestines) without having to perform surgery. The ultrasound machine sends sound waves into the body and then listens for the echoes, the machine then uses these echoes to form a picture of the inside of your pet! Don’t worry, these sound waves are too high in pitch for us, or any of our patients, to hear and produce no harmful effects as a diagnostic tool.
We may use Ultrasound on your pet for one of the following reasons:
- Abnormal bloodwork
- Vomiting or diarrhea that has lasted for a long time
- Weight loss with no change in eating habits
- Chronic infections
- Change in urinary habits
- Baseline ultrasound for future examination (geriatric patients)
- Recheck on previous problem
- Cancer staging
- Fluid in chest or abdomen
- To permit biopsy
- Pregnancy and pregnancy check
We try to remain on the cutting edge of medical technology. Digital x-rays are a tool that we use to look inside the body in a completely non-invasive way. Digital radiology allows us to see and create images of all your pet’s internal organs.
Digital x-rays give us a view of the internal organs in your pet's body that we otherwise could not see. It is a tool that allows us to detect and prevent illness.
The use of digital x-rays is safe and we are highly trained in its application.
